
National Operations Leader

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic National Operations Leader to oversee our national customer contracts, drive financial performance, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
This high-impact leadership role involves delivering exceptional service to customers, driving business growth, and championing continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals in achieving operational excellence, profitability, and quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead financial and operational performance across national customer contracts, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Drive business analysis and development, including profitability reviews, rate negotiations, and new business proposals.
- Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, including audits, SOPs, and quality documentation.
- Champion continuous improvement by streamlining reporting and operational processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customer representatives.
- Oversee human resources and industrial relations performance, ensuring teams are trained, competent, and aligned with company values.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures.
- Act as the key contact for customers on contract and service-related matters, ensuring service excellence and contract compliance.
- Several years' experience in logistics and business management, ideally in a national or multi-site capacity.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive performance across diverse operations.
- Experience with SAP and a solid understanding of warehouse and transport systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- A degree in business management, accounting, or economics (desirable).
