About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Urban Development Manager to lead our city planning services and ensure the liveability of Albury. This role will oversee the development and delivery of strategic city planning services, engaging with the community and stakeholders to promote the city's growth and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development of policies, plans, and strategies for the city's future growth and development.
  • Lead and manage a team of city planners, providing performance management, training, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure the team works in consultation with the community and stakeholders, providing a high level of proactive customer service.
  • Provide input to business and financial plans, including budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Improve efficiency through the implementation of continuous improvement and quality management systems.
  • Participate in stakeholder groups and liaise with government departments to ensure the city is responsive to growth demands and forecasts.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualifications in Town Planning or equivalent discipline.
  • Significant experience in strategic planning and team leadership.
  • High-level understanding of strategic planning principles, infrastructure contribution management, and project management.
