We undertake extensive work in both statutory and strategic planning, covering all sectors including residential, commercial, retail, tourism, health, education, industry, and infrastructure.

We're currently seeking a Senior Urbanist-Social Strategy & Engagement to join our highly engaged team of urban development professionals. This role will suit a dynamic individual looking to take the next step in their professional career and someone passionate about social impact and urban change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively across a wide range of projects, including as part of multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Lead deliverables including social impact assessment, social infrastructure studies, social research and measurement, community and stakeholder engagement strategies as well as local and state government strategies.
  • Support the preparation of fee proposals and tender submissions.
  • Manage project delivery to ensure they meet budget and timeframe expectations.
  • Develop your skills in project management, delegation, and supervision through managing junior staff members.
  • Develop others within the team by sharing your knowledge and collaborative work experiences.
  • Build on existing stakeholder relationships and networks to achieve positive results for clients and work with the team to generate new business.

Requirements:

  • A Tertiary qualification in Planning/Urbanism/Human Geography/Sustainability/Communications or related degree/discipline.
  • 2-5 years of experience within a professional services firm or state/local government.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with a flexible and positive attitude to working on a range of different projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of the NSW planning framework and/or social policy environment.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and other project team members.
