Engineering Director - Substation Expert

As a seasoned professional, you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the future of substation engineering. This role requires expertise in project management, technical leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of substation design software and tools, as well as excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. They will also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities include leading all phases of substation projects from design through construction and commissioning, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Manage all aspects of substation projects, including design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Technical Expertise: Oversee the design and analysis of substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align substation projects with overall energy infrastructure goals.
  • Team Development: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across departments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in substation engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of substation design software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
