About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager Payments to lead our Payments team and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Motivate, coach, and develop Payment Consultants to ensure they are engaged, skilled, and practicing company values.
  • Invoice Management: Ensure invoices comply with ATO requirements, and authorized amounts are paid in a timely manner to minimize cost leakage.
  • Cross-Training and Process Improvement: Cross-train team members across multiple teams to sustain a flexible workforce and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Productivity Monitoring and Quality Control: Create and manage tools to track productivity, workload allocation, and quality outcomes, contributing to the creation of team and individual operator KPIs.
  • Customer Focus: Drive a strong customer focus for both internal and external customers.
  • Change Management: Encourage and support change and process improvement initiatives.
  • Cost Control: Contribute to cost control frameworks and internal knowledge process updates to achieve optimal cost outcomes.
  • Recruitment and Reporting: Undertake recruitment activities and reporting as required.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to successfully lead, coach, and develop others to achieve team results.
  • Insurance Industry Experience: Desirable experience in the insurance industry.
  • Strong Relationship Building Skills: Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Sound analytical and reporting capabilities, with the ability to problem-solve in a complex working environment.
  • Influencing and Change Management: Proven ability to influence and implement change, while managing conflict and negotiation.
