Seeking a proactive Communications Specialist to drive strategic media engagement, amplify diverse voices, and promote inclusive experiences across the cricket season.

About This Role

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with media outlets, marketing teams, and partners to develop and execute a comprehensive multicultural media strategy.

  • Design and implement a content plan that showcases compelling storytelling opportunities and fosters connections between players and Australian cricket.
  • Establish relationships with key media contacts, facilitating regular engagement and driving positive coverage for events.
  • Support the delivery of Australian Cricket's Multicultural Action Plan, ensuring initiatives are aligned with communications and community engagement objectives.
  • Develop and manage media operations and communications for international and domestic tours, matches, and community events.
Requirements

A minimum of 5+ years' experience in media and communications, preferably in sports or a PR agency.

Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Communications or Marketing degree.

Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing large-scale promotional plans, gaining positive media coverage, and working with multicultural media outlets.

Excellent written communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail.

A strong ability to work collaboratively, build relationships, and adapt to changing priorities.
