Strategic Quarry Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Quarry Manager to oversee the planning and oversight of quarry operations.

This strategic role focuses on the commercial and operationally efficient extraction of resources, with considerable coordination and forward planning across the business and a key focus on planning approvals and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage short-term and long-term quarry reserve plans to meet future and current production targets.
  • Report on geological assessments and work with consultants to identify areas for extraction.
  • Design and implement quarry layouts and resource extraction plans.
  • Coordinate with the Environmental and Compliance team to ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and submit required approvals, reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory bodies.
  • Work with site and state managers to plan and align upcoming project approvals with timing and budget constraints.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years in quarry or mining operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Strong understanding of quarry reserves planning, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-site operations and leading teams across multiple locations.
  • Extensive knowledge of quarry and mining planning legislation and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong strategic project management and planning skills.
