Job Description

The National Strategic Quarry Planning Manager will oversee the tactical planning and oversight of quarry and mine operations in conjunction with Adbri's Property Optimisation Strategy.

This highly strategic role focuses on the commercial and operationally efficient extraction of resources, requiring considerable coordination and forward planning across the business.

  • Developing and managing short-term and long-term quarry reserve planning to meet future and current production targets.
  • Reporting on geological assessments and collaborating with consultants to identify areas for extraction.
  • Designing and implementing quarry layouts and resource extraction plans.
  • Coordinating with the Environmental and Compliance team to ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
  • Preparing and submitting required approvals, reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory bodies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Minimum 7 years experience in quarry or mining operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  2. A strong understanding of quarry reserves planning, environmental management, and regulatory compliance in the mining and quarry sectors.
  3. Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-site operations and leading teams across multiple locations.
  4. Extensive knowledge of quarry and mining planning legislation and regulatory compliance, preferably across multiple states.
  5. Strong strategic project management and planning skills.
