Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Asset Manager to join our team in Melbourne. As a Senior Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the overall property and assets portfolio of our Australian, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea locations.

About the Role: You will manage and maintain a portfolio of buildings, including coordinating building repairs and maintenance, building safety, lease negotiations, contract management, compliance, and assets (including machinery, vehicles, forklifts, warehouse racking, etc.). Your typical day at DSV may involve conducting high-level negotiations with external providers of facilities management services and assets, managing landlord and/or managing agent relationships, carrying out and coordinating make good obligations and negotiations, and preparing proposals for capital expenditure and minor works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-level negotiations with external providers of facilities management services and assets to achieve prompt, reliable, cost-effective, quality services to the company.
  • Manage landlord and/or managing agent relationships to ensure optimal outcomes for DSV.
  • Carry out and coordinate make good obligations and negotiations to minimize disruptions to business operations.
  • Prepare proposals for capital expenditure and minor works using cost-benefit analysis techniques to enable timely decision-making by senior management.
  • Negotiate rental and lease contracts with external agents and vendors to ensure cost-effective, low-risk terms, in accordance with business requirements.
  • Oversee the engagement of contractors in accordance with company policy to undertake facilities-related works.
  • Implement and monitor programs that ensure full compliance with all relevant local regulations and State and Commonwealth legislative requirements.
  • Ensure all buildings meet essential service maintenance requirements and all facilities are well-maintained.
  • Proactively lead and implement OH&S and sustainability policy, procedures, and processes through all activities relating to facilities and assets.

About You: To succeed in this role, you will need experience in managing buildings and assets, good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their expertise in facilities management, asset maintenance, and compliance.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is around $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
