Customer Service Representative

About the Role
Deaf Connect is seeking a highly skilled Customer Bookings Officer to provide exceptional customer service and interpreter booking services to our Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing customers.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, allocating interpreter requests, liaising with customers, and providing advice and education on interpreter booking procedures.
Main Responsibilities
- Allocate interpreter requests to permanent and casual interpreters
- Liaise and negotiate with customers to ensure timely and accurate administration of interpreter bookings
- Provide advice, education and instruction on interpreter booking procedures to new clients
- Answer and respond to all phone calls, emails and online requests in a professional and timely manner
About You
We are looking for a candidate with highly developed administrative, organisational and time management skills, as well as excellent engagement and communication skills.
Previous experience in the interpreting industry or knowledge of the Deaf community, language and culture would be highly regarded.
