As the Cloud Operations Leader at HCF, you will drive advancements in cloud technology, ensuring the excellence of our infrastructure and adherence to strategic compliance. Your role will be crucial in integrating business objectives with technical strategies, positioning us as leaders in cloud innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and motivate a team of proficient cloud professionals, overseeing AWS and Azure infrastructure services.
  • Foster a DevOps culture within the team, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of tools, processes, and methodologies.
  • Guarantee that the team's deliverables are completed on schedule and consistently meet high-quality standards.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to grasp their needs and challenges, ensuring that our solutions effectively address their requirements.
  • Clearly communicate the implications of technical changes to both internal IT and business stakeholders.
  • Document and regularly update relevant policies, processes, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with business-led development teams to identify application lifecycle challenges and design cloud platform solutions that enhance and automate their workflows.
  • Provide after-hours support as necessary to maintain 24/7 service availability.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of IaaS and PaaS services across various cloud platforms, utilizing them to construct complex and sophisticated solutions.
  • Establish and uphold scalable, reliable, and secure enterprise landing zones.
  • Ensure that cloud infrastructure complies with HCF's security and regulatory requirements, including encryption, backup, disaster recovery, and auditing.
  • Offer expert advice during the planning and design phases of projects to ensure alignment with HCF's technology infrastructure strategy and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly with AWS and/or Azure, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cloud infrastructure and/or systems engineering teams.
  • Proven track record in managing cloud automation and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in overseeing the design and review processes for new and migrating systems.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team player with experience in cross-team leadership to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Significant experience in building and scaling environments across multi-cloud and multi-region setups.
  • Experience in business continuity or disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching team members and key stakeholders on cloud transformation and best practices.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as APRA.
  • Familiarity with automation tools, including Ansible, Terraform, or Azure DevOps.
