Environmental Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist to join our team in Darwin. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across various sectors, including Defence, government, mining, and energy.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in environmental impact assessment and approvals, contaminated land investigations and remediation, hydrology, hydrogeology, and water quality monitoring, biodiversity surveys and ecological assessments, and environmental management planning and auditing.

This role offers the best of both worlds – working in a small office with the support and capacity of one of the world's largest engineering consultancies. You will gain valuable experience, skills, and knowledge, and contribute to delivering high-quality, client-focused outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fieldwork in diverse and remote environments across the NT and beyond
  • Support or lead the preparation of environmental assessments, management plans, and technical reports
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects
  • Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to support project delivery and business development efforts
Requirements:
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • A strong interest or experience in environmental approvals, contaminated land, or ecological fieldwork
  • Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and get involved across a wide range of projects
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when needed
