The Operations Officer plays a vital part in enhancing operational readiness and response capability.
This role is responsible for providing high-level advice, support, training, and assistance to volunteers, local governments, and other organisations in emergency management arrangements.
Main Responsibilities- Provide guidance and support to Volunteer Units
- Offer training and assistance to volunteers, local governments, and other organisations
- Maintain accreditation for Regional Duty Officer and Incident Management Team (IMT) roles
- Ensure effective allocation of resources for emergency readiness and response
The organisation is a volunteer-based emergency service with highly skilled and equipped Volunteers. Its mission is to minimise the impact of emergencies and strengthen community resilience through partnerships and education.
We provide 24/7 road rescue services, assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and support Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria, and Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major incidents.
The organisation aims to deliver exceptional emergency services by leveraging its network of skilled Volunteers and partners.
