Job Description

The successful candidate will have significant experience managing operational performance and compliance to legal and third-party standards.

  • Investment Oversight:

    Manage the SMA's strategic and operational activities to optimise financial, operational, environmental, social and governance outcomes. Ensure alignment with New Forests' strategy.

  • Capital Deployment:

    Source and review deals, conduct due diligence, and manage ownership transition.

  • Team Leadership:

    Lead a global cross-functional team to meet the objectives of the account and ensure high levels of well-being, morale, motivation and performance.

  • Reporting:

    Integrate company investee company reporting to meet New Forests' information requirements.

  • Advocacy:

    Contribute to global advocacy of New Forests' brand and investment strategy.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fund portfolio management and real asset management, with a strong understanding of economic, social, environmental and governance factors that deliver value from investments in the portfolio.

Strong commercial skills, including contract management, negotiations and financial analysis, are essential.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, including strong communication across a broad range of stakeholders, are also required.

Experience with tropical forestry operations, relevant tertiary qualifications, and carbon modelling and voluntary carbon standards would be highly regarded.
