Rehabilitation Specialist Role

As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will work with clients who have psychological or physical injuries. Your primary goal is to support their return to work through rehabilitation and vocational counselling.

  • You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, conducting initial assessments, and identifying suitable goals.
  • You will need to identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work and organise appropriate interventions with stakeholders.
  • Key aspects of this role include providing vocational counselling, conducting vocational assessments, attending medical appointments, and completing reports.
  • You will also be required to communicate with medical professionals regarding diagnoses and treatment, as well as facilitate a safe and timely graduated return to work.
  • Additionally, you will document case notes as part of reporting and compliance requirements, and collaborate with in-house Board approved supervisors and specialised consultants.
  • Effective stakeholder relationships and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team are essential skills for this role.
About You
  • To be successful in this role, you must hold a 4th year Psychology Graduate status.
  • Associate or Full membership with ASORC as a Rehabilitation Counsellor is also required.
  • A Provisional Psychologist or Psychologist registration with AHPRA is necessary.
  • A valid Driver's license and access to a car are essential for performing job duties.
  • Finally, you must obtain a police check prior to commencement.
