Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

Support individuals in achieving health and work outcomes through evidence-based practices.

  • Provide case management services to clients with diverse needs and goals;
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, employers, and employees to develop effective workplace solutions;
  • Assess and implement injury prevention and education programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment;
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to support return-to-work planning and goal setting;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and service delivery;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client caseloads, prioritizing tasks and resources for optimal outcomes;
  • Apply clinical knowledge and expertise to inform case decisions and interventions;
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service coordination and effectiveness;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and research to advance professional knowledge and skills;
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to refine processes and improve client satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., rehabilitation counseling, psychology, social work, occupational therapy);
  • Professional registration or certification (e.g., AHPRA, ASORC, AASW);
  • Proven experience in occupational rehabilitation, preferably with a focus on case management and program development;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with capacity to navigate complex situations and make informed decisions;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
