Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

Deliver high-quality occupational rehabilitation services and support individuals in their return to work journey.

About the Role:

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing consultancy services, and implementing injury prevention initiatives to drive positive return-to-work outcomes.

You will work closely with key stakeholders, including insurers, doctors, health professionals, and employers, to develop effective rehabilitation plans that meet the needs of each individual.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop targeted rehabilitation plans.
  • Provide expert consultancy services to employers and other stakeholders to promote best practice in occupational rehabilitation.
  • Implement injury prevention initiatives to reduce workplace injuries and improve overall workplace health and safety.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive positive return-to-work outcomes.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in occupational therapy, exercise physiology, physiotherapy, or osteopathy.
  • Registration with ESSA or AHPRA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
