Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting return to work services and injury prevention.

About the Role
  • As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be working closely with professionals in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy to achieve optimal return to health and work outcomes for injured workers.
Key Responsibilities
  • You will provide case management services with manageable caseloads and administrative support from Rehabilitation Assistants.
  • Apply your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes for injured workers.
  • Partner with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Collaborate with medical and allied health professionals to achieve optimal return to health and work outcomes.
  • Work across various schemes including workers compensation, life insurance, Comcare, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Conduct assessments to support return to health, work, and life goals, including Initial Assessments, Worksite Assessments & Vocational Assessments.
  • Provide consultancy services such as group mental health training, Employee Assistance Program services, and Psychological Functional Capacity Evaluations.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy.
  • General or Provisional AHPRA registration or full ASORC/AASW membership.
  • Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills; ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy.
  • A current driver's license and access to own car with comprehensive insurance are required.
