**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a BETRS Peer Support Worker. This role requires someone with lived experience of an eating disorder and sustained recovery for a minimum of 2 years. The successful candidate will have the ability to provide hope for recovery and peer support for consumers accessing our service.

**Key Responsibilities**

The primary purpose of this role is to provide one-to-one peer support sessions, either face-to-face or via phone/telehealth. You will also be required to assist with meal support and social eating outings, lead group sessions from your own lived experience, and co-facilitate other groups as appropriate.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Lived experience of an eating disorder
  • Sustained recovery from an eating disorder for a minimum of 2 years
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a lived or living experience role (or equivalent type of role such as a mentor or advocate)
  • Completion of (or willingness to undertake) Intentional Peer Support (IPS) Training
