Role Overview

Senior Telecoms Engineer Position

A senior telecoms engineer is required to work in a fast-paced environment, designing and implementing communications projects that incorporate radio sites, IP nodes, voice and data communications solutions, fibre optic and copper-based transmission systems, power supply systems, and related ancillary systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-level and detailed design documentation for various projects. They will also perform hands-on work, including equipment configuration and integration on multiple routing and switching equipment, as well as participate in factory and site testing and commissioning activities.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • CCNP/JNCIS/JNCIP qualified Network Engineer with minimum 10+ years' experience.
  • Engineering degree enabling full membership to Engineers Australia.
  • Extensive experience in Cisco routing and switching technologies.
  • Strong understanding of IP/MPLS, BGP4, and OSPF technologies.
  • Strong project experience with ability to manage priorities and multitask.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering report writing.
  • Experience working on Rail sector.
