The role of a Senior Telecoms Infrastructure Engineer is pivotal in the delivery of communications system infrastructure packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end management of telecommunications infrastructure packages, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion.
  • Develop and prepare engineering design documents, specifications, drawings, and scopes of work that meet project deadlines for assigned work packages.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of site design and site acquisition processes, as well as the importance of Safety in Design.
  • Participate in and lead the infrastructure design review process, promoting collaboration and excellence.
  • Review design drawings and create scope of work documents and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Identify defects and coordinate rectifications within agreed timelines.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 10+ years' experience as a deployment/project engineer on large-scale Australian rail projects.
  • An engineering degree that enables full membership to Engineers Australia.
  • Proven expertise in designing, constructing, and integrating Telecommunications systems, including radio sites, power systems, and associated infrastructure.
  • Effective subcontractor management skills.
  • Well-developed organizational skills, enabling the management of multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
