Job Title: Data Center Support Specialist

The role of the On-Call Data Center Support Specialist is to provide critical support for data center operations. This includes managing equipment storage, staging, hardware deliveries, replacements, and troubleshooting as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be available on an on-call basis to respond to equipment staging and delivery requests.
  • Ensure safe and secure storage and staging of IT hardware and equipment.
  • Verify accurate and timely delivery of hardware to client sites.
  • Perform hardware replacements and upgrades in data center environments.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faulty equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Comply with safety protocols and best practices in data center operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment movements, issues, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective support.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role or as a Data Center Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of data center equipment, IT hardware, and associated technologies.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis and respond to urgent requests.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data center safety procedures and protocols.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing work schedules.
  • Physical fitness to handle equipment and perform tasks within data center environments.
