Electrical Systems Technician Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electric Systems Technician to join our Fleet Operations team. The successful candidate will investigate, diagnose and repair/mitigate in-service problems and defects to electrical systems, equipment and components on all train fleet types.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in electric train maintenance, a Certificate III qualification in Electrical trade, and a solid technical background with proven analytical and problem-solving skills to identify faults and implement effective solutions across electrical systems.
This is an in-person, on-site role that requires flexibility and willingness to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, to support continuous operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate, diagnose and repair/mitigate in-service problems and defects to electrical systems, equipment and components.
- Provide in-service repairs in the field, including in-service inspections and pre-departure checks.
- Complete all relevant reporting and documentation for work conducted.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate III qualification in Electrical trade
