The primary objective of this role is to design, implement, and deliver comprehensive training programs aimed at upskilling the maintenance workforce.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to create customized training solutions that meet the unique needs of the Busways maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate records of training completions, attendance, assessments, and other relevant data within the company's designated systems.
- Consult with asset maintenance managers, support office staff, staff representatives, and other key stakeholders to identify training requirements and develop targeted solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate external training initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee an apprentice training program that includes TAFE training, workshop supervision, product training, and continuous monitoring and review.
- Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors on their responsibilities and best practices in managing apprentices and new employees.
- Ensure existing staff are upskilled to maintain competence in maintaining vehicles equipped with modern technologies, including Zero Emission Buses.
- Hold a recognized mechanical qualification, preferably in Heavy Vehicle.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of training principles and adult learning techniques.
- Possess excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Exhibit leadership capability, experience, and the capacity to coach others effectively.
- Display creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Hold a current Unrestricted Australian driver's license issued by the relevant State.
