The role of a Plant Maintenance Technician involves the upkeep and maintenance of all operating equipment on site.
Responsibilities include ensuring plant and equipment are running efficiently, coordinating maintenance activities with the Operations team, and collaborating with other personnel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless production processes
- Identify and report potential hazards or incidents in a timely manner
- Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment and systems to maintain optimal performance
- Develop and implement effective training programs for staff
- Communicate regularly with maintenance and operations personnel to ensure efficient workflow
- Review and verify contractors' documentation
Requirements:
- Relevant industry experience within a manufacturing environment
- Qualified tradesperson (Fitter and Turner)
- Boiler operation certification
- Forklift license (HRW) preferred but not essential
Essential Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in software applications
