About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Property Portfolio Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our underwriting operations, you will be responsible for supporting portfolios and driving profitable growth across Property, Energy, and Marine General Insurance markets in Australia and New Zealand.

The successful candidate will align teams for unified operations, develop policy wording approaches, manage risk engineering insights, provide analysis for market-facing leadership, and lead portfolio improvement initiatives. You will also monitor tactical plans, adapt global strategies to local markets, and collaborate with Commercial Insurance Underwriting and other teams to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support portfolios and drive profitable growth across Property, Energy, and Marine General Insurance markets in Australia and New Zealand
  • Align teams for unified operations, develop policy wording approaches, manage risk engineering insights, and provide analysis for market-facing leadership
  • Lead portfolio improvement initiatives, monitor tactical plans, adapt global strategies to local markets, and collaborate with Commercial Insurance Underwriting and other teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in general insurance, specifically underwriting
  • Skilled in data analysis, trend identification, and delivering insightful recommendations
  • Track record of executing strategic plans and company initiatives
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills
  • Solid grasp of governance, risk management, and relevant legal frameworks
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset—open to new challenges, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement
  • ANZII CIP member or equivalent qualification
