As a Principal Telecoms Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and implementing communications infrastructure projects encompassing IP/MPLS transport networks, radio sites, voice and data communication systems, fibre optic and copper-based transmission systems, and associated ancillary subsystems.

You will lead a team of engineers in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the safety, security, and redundancy requirements of rail and mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-level and low-level design documentation, including architecture diagrams, network design reports, and integration procedures.
  • Configure, integrate, and test network equipment across multi-vendor platforms, primarily Cisco and Juniper routing and switching infrastructure.
  • Perform site and factory acceptance testing, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, and network migration activities.
  • Lead fault isolation, network diagnostics, and root cause analysis across transport and access layers.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to skills development and knowledge transfer across the engineering team.

This position is ideal for experienced Network Engineers who have hands-on experience with Cisco MPLS, BGP, and OSPF technologies, as well as Cisco Nexus platforms, including vPC, VDC, and data center architecture design.
