Job Overview

The Construction Manager plays a key role in planning and directing the activities of regional Beneficial Use Facilities. Reporting to senior management, this leader oversees operations and maintenance activities for all aspects of project locations.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing Clean Earth's Beneficial Use Facilities, including approval, receipt, delivery, and placement operations, maintenance, and staff utilization.
  • Directly and indirectly manages supervisors and hourly facility processing staff, including laborers, scale operators, equipment operators, administrative staff, and technical support roles, as well as sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Works in partnership with the safety team to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, focusing on continuous improvement, safe work practices, and positive employee health and wellbeing.
  • Generates reports for senior management and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures all activities are completed according to plans and specifications and applicable Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental/civil engineering, environmental science, or business management is recommended.
  • 8+ years' experience in facility operations, with at least 5 years in supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in operating treatment, processing, recycling, and/or transfer facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to plan and supervise the work of others and motivate and lead teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work under pressure and manage several projects simultaneously.
