Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regional Development Operations Director to lead our Development & Building business unit. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of our team, delivering projects, ensuring quality, driving business development, and contributing to business-wide strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, team management, and business development. They will be confident communicators with a growth-oriented mindset and strategic capability. The ability to build relationships with government, clients, and industry stakeholders will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor the Development & Building team
  • Drive accountability, performance, and professional growth
  • Foster a culture of ownership, learning, and technical excellence

Project Delivery & Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee project planning and resourcing
  • Support proposal writing and tender responses
  • Maintain high-quality outputs and compliance with codes and regulations

Business Development & Client Relationships:

  • Build relationships with government, clients, and industry stakeholders
  • Lead business development initiatives aligned with strategic goals
  • Represent the company at events and within networks

Financial Management:

  • Manage forecasting, budgets, and reporting for the business unit
  • Oversee financial health and profitability
  • Work closely with the General Manager and CFO to align financial and business goals

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Uphold ISO9001 and WHS standards
  • Ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place
  • Champion continuous improvement and compliance
