We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Officer to join our team at the Children's Cancer Institute. As a Research Officer, you will play a critical role in advancing our understanding of childhood cancer and developing new treatments to improve the lives of children and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in molecular and cellular biology to study the mechanisms of drug resistance and develop new treatments for childhood cancer.
- Understand the initiation and progression of childhood cancer to develop novel combination therapies and prevention strategies.
- Design and conduct experiments independently and in a team environment.
- Produce high-quality publications and present research data at conferences and seminars.
- Train and supervise students on a daily basis.
- Comply with regulatory guidelines and Institute policies.
- PhD in a relevant scientific medical field.
- Experience in molecular and cellular biology.
- Experience in single cell profiling will be advantageous.
- Experience working with animal models.
- Demonstrated ability to design and conduct experiments independently and in a team environment.
- Bioinformatics skills will be advantageous.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to conducting experiments involving humans, animals, and GMOs under strict ethical and regulatory guidelines.
