About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Officer to join our team at the Children's Cancer Institute. As a Research Officer, you will play a critical role in advancing our understanding of childhood cancer and developing new treatments to improve the lives of children and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in molecular and cellular biology to study the mechanisms of drug resistance and develop new treatments for childhood cancer.
  • Understand the initiation and progression of childhood cancer to develop novel combination therapies and prevention strategies.
  • Design and conduct experiments independently and in a team environment.
  • Produce high-quality publications and present research data at conferences and seminars.
  • Train and supervise students on a daily basis.
  • Comply with regulatory guidelines and Institute policies.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant scientific medical field.
  • Experience in molecular and cellular biology.
  • Experience in single cell profiling will be advantageous.
  • Experience working with animal models.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and conduct experiments independently and in a team environment.
  • Bioinformatics skills will be advantageous.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to conducting experiments involving humans, animals, and GMOs under strict ethical and regulatory guidelines.
