We're seeking a highly skilled Research Officer to join our team and contribute to groundbreaking research in cancer treatment, molecular biology, and nano-delivery systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and execute experiments using NGS technology, handling and preparing complex libraries for sequencing.
- Develop and apply gene editing techniques, including RNAi and CRISPR/cas9 KO.
- Explore medical nanotechnologies, with a focus on drug/RNAi delivery systems and synthetic nanotech.
- Analyze molecular pathways, including RNAi screenings, validation of drug targets, and evaluation of synthetic lethality.
- Investigate tumour metabolism and cancer-related metabolic criticalities, using techniques such as Seahorse technology and metabolite quantification.
- Manage and analyze DNA, RNA, and protein samples from various origins, using techniques like qPCR, bioanalyzer, and western blot.
- Conduct preclinical testing of drugs or nanotechnologies on mice.
- PhD in a relevant field, with expertise in cancer treatment, molecular biology, and nano-delivery systems.
- Proven experience in NGS technology, gene editing, and medical nanotechnologies.
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology, including DNA, RNA, and protein analysis.
- Ability to work with cell lines and patient-derived cells, and to design and execute experiments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with researchers and clinicians.
