Research Scientist

As a Research Assistant in our Drug Discovery Biology Group, you'll play a critical role in advancing our mission by developing innovative methods to identify and validate new drug targets for childhood cancer.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and executing cutting-edge experiments to discover and validate biomarkers of response to targeted perturbations
- Developing and maintaining internal and external relationships, including collaborations with international research partners
- Staying up-to-date with advances in genomics and next-generation sequencing technology, and applying this knowledge to drive translational excellence
- Contributing to the development of manuscripts, grants, and presentations to advance your academic career
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with honours (RA) or PhD (RO) in molecular biology or a related field
- Strong skills in molecular and cellular biology techniques, including cancer cell cultures, in vitro drug testing, and basic data analysis and presentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
