Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work closely with individuals with disabilities, their families, and carers to identify needs, develop support plans, and deliver evidence-based services.

You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our participants, promoting independence, access, development, health, and wellbeing. Your expertise, maturity, and strong time management and organisational skills will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan supports for NDIS participants and their families/carers
  • Evaluate and deliver evidence-based support plans within complex support spaces
  • Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies using positive behaviour support frameworks
  • Build knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced practitioners
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current suitability at the Core or Proficient level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Report writing experience
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising other Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proactive attitude and genuine passion for working in the disability sector
