Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized Compliance and Information Specialist to manage and prioritize the Team Leader's inbox, escalating clinical, legal, and operational matters as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and prioritize the Team Leader's inbox, escalating clinical, legal, and operational matters as needed.
- Coordinate internal processes related to privacy and information sharing, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update central registers, including FOI logs, risk incidents, and information sharing responses.
- Conduct governance audits and contribute to OHS compliance initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Assist in training and developing staff resources for documentation and information management, promoting best practices and adherence to company standards.
- Ensure adherence to information sharing schemes (CISS, FVISS, and Child Protection protocols), monitoring and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Manage Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, particularly those involving clinical records, responding promptly and professionally to minimize delays and disruptions.
- Monitor compliance with privacy laws, health record legislation, and internal documentation standards, recommending improvements and updates as needed.
