As an Information Governance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless release of information held by our organization.

About the Role:
  • You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the dissemination of information in accordance with applicable legislation.
  • Providing expert advice on information administration, guidelines, and processes is also a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and briefings related to information matters.
  • Mentor, train, and develop team members to ensure they have the necessary skills to handle information requests effectively.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, to resolve information issues.
  • Represent the organization in information forums and contribute to policy development.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to promote a culture of compliance and accountability in handling information requests.
About You:
  • You hold a relevant qualification in law, information management, or data protection.
  • You possess knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Vic) and related regulations.
  • You are able to interpret and apply the Freedom of Information Act in complex scenarios.
  • You have experience managing information release processes in compliance with legislation.
