Food Service Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality catering services.
As a key member of our cohesive team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, distribution, and serving of meals to residents, visitors, staff, and for functions. You will also maintain accurate catering records, monitor food temperatures, and report feedback from residents on their meal satisfaction.
In this role, you will work positively and collaboratively with other staff to provide person-centered food services and supports that are safe and effective. You will also support residents in making their own food decisions, in conjunction with Nursing staff, to enable them to feel socially connected.
This role includes driving between sites and delivering food to our Independent Living Units. Therefore, candidates must have a valid SA Driver's License and be comfortable driving a van. You must also be prepared to stack, unpack, and deliver large food boxes.
We value people who will make a positive difference in the lives of our residents and clients. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a food handling role, driving commercial vans, and hold a current and valid Driver's License which permits them to drive in South Australia.
