About the Role

We are seeking Food Service Assistants to join our dynamic catering team working various shifts in our care home. Our catering department plays a crucial role in our food-focused culture and philosophy. We offer seasonal menus tailored to meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. You will be responsible for contributing to high-quality cooked meals providing a comforting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare nutritious meals for residents at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and other services as required
  • Serve and present meals according to our menu and presentation standards
  • Ensure safe and hygienic working practices
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and hospitality areas

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of kitchen operations and bulk food preparation
  • Experience working with food hygiene practices and work health and safety requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Appreciation for working with the elderly and people from diverse backgrounds
  • Valid National Police check (specific to work in aged care)
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate

Estimated Salary: AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience
