About Us

Auscol plays a vital role in the collection and processing of used cooking oil, transforming it into sustainable biodiesel and aviation fuel. As part of GrainCorp's end-to-end supply chain, Auscol upcycles edible oils sourced from food production and service. Our equipment, transport, and service solutions enable the collection and upcycling of used cooking oil across metropolitan, regional, and remote Australia.

We provide storage tanks, operate high-tech vacuum collection trucks, and maintain an extensive network of inland and portside processing and bulk storage facilities. This role is based at our site in Largs Bay, reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager. The position involves travel requirements and occasional support for operational activities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute growth strategies to increase volumes of collected or sold product, targeting metropolitan and regional regions in South Australia.
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of our business equipment, services, and value proposition.
  3. Expand our customer base through proactive sales activities.
  4. Nurture long-term relationships with customers, securing retention through service agreements.
  5. Draft and review contracts for new and existing business.
  6. Compose compelling business proposals and presentations.
  7. Negotiate with stakeholders to secure new business opportunities.
  8. Monitor industry trends in Australia and overseas, identifying potential growth areas.
  9. Engage with potential clients through cold calls and emails, tailoring sales approaches to convert leads.
  10. Customize equipment and service solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  11. Provide regular updates on sales, retention, and pipeline results to the Regional Manager.

About Your Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring a proven track record of sales success, including cold calling and customer management. While experience in Food Service, Waste, or Recycling is beneficial, we welcome applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds. Essential skills include:

  • Sound communication and negotiation skills (written and oral).
  • The ability to craft engaging proposals and presentations.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills at all levels (internal and external).
  • Effective time management and planning.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • A determined, resilient, and results-focused approach.
  • The ability to work under pressure, identify opportunities, and secure new business.
