Outpatient Rehabilitation Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Coordinator in an outpatient rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have experience with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering the phone in a timely manner and directing calls to the appropriate department or person.
  • Receiving and updating patient information.
  • Maintaining accurate and organized files.
  • Establishing and maintaining patient records and record filing systems.
  • Completing the registration process accurately and efficiently.
  • Verifying patient insurance benefits.
  • Processing pre-certifications and authorizations.
  • Scheduling appointments and confirming them with patients.
  • Communicating scheduling issues to management.
  • Receiving payments and preparing receipts.
  • Distributing mail to clinical staff.
  • Processing requests for release of information.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to sit for up to eight hours per day, stand for up to eight hours per day, and perform frequent finger movements, handling, and grasping.

Education and Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office and other PC software is essential.
