We are seeking an experienced Programme Management Office (PMO) professional to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes.

Job Description

The PMO Lead will play a key role in driving the continuous improvement of project delivery methodologies, frameworks, and standards across the organisation. This includes ensuring that project governance, assurance, and reporting processes are consistently applied, and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and actuals across the portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for consolidating reporting into executive-ready dashboards, insights, and board materials, as well as overseeing portfolio planning, resource demand and capacity management. Additionally, they will coordinate governance forums, assurance reviews, and audit activities, providing guidance and support to project managers, change managers, and business analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the continuous improvement of project delivery methodologies, frameworks, and standards.
  • Ensure project governance, assurance, and reporting processes are consistently applied.
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and actuals across the portfolio.
  • Consolidate reporting into executive-ready dashboards, insights, and board materials.
  • Oversee portfolio planning, resource demand and capacity management.
  • Coordinate governance forums, assurance reviews, and audit activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers, change managers, and business analysts.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in programme management or a related field within financial services is essential.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, portfolio management, and assurance.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and implementing programme management standards, systems, and processes.
  • Financial literacy including budget management, GL reconciliation, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Relevant programme management certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, P3O) desirable.
