Job Opportunity

The Aboriginal Senior Program Coordinator role plays a pivotal part in leading the development, management, and implementation of initiatives aligned with strategic plans.


  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver services and programs that reduce youth reoffending, support positive outcomes for young people, facilitate community reintegration, and enhance community safety.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with the Aboriginal community and key stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Manage project resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely advice and communication is provided to stakeholders regarding project status.
  • Collaborate with staff, Area Managers, and government partners to promote coordinated service delivery and uphold best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities

Working with Children Check clearance required in accordance with relevant legislation.


A strong understanding of Aboriginal community engagement principles and practices is essential, along with experience in co-design, needs assessments, and incorporating community feedback into program development.


Cultural competence and empathy are crucial for engaging with community members and building trusting relationships.


A demonstrated commitment to anti-racism is also vital.
