Position Summary:
Senior Aboriginal Programs CoordinatorThis is a leadership role that requires strategic planning, program implementation, and team management to reduce youth reoffending and support positive outcomes for young people.
About the Role:
- Develop, manage, and implement initiatives aligned with the Youth Justice Strategic Plan and the Aboriginal Strategic Coordination Unit's business plan.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering services and programs to reduce youth reoffending and support positive outcomes for young people.
- Build relationships with the Aboriginal community and key stakeholders to deliver projects.
- Manage project plans, resources, and budgets; monitor progress.
Requirements:
- A Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
- Aboriginality.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal community engagement principles and practices.
- Experience in co-design, needs assessments, and incorporating community feedback into program development.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and cultural competence.
