Your OpportunityKPMG's Insurance Claims and Workplace Health practice is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced claims professional with a passion for driving meaningful change in the social-insurance landscape. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in conducting high-volume, high-quality claim reviews that directly influence the performance of personal injury schemes and self-insurers, as well as improve the experiences of injured workers and employers.
- Supporting a variety of exciting and dynamic engagements as a claims specialist.
- Apply legislative frameworks and clinical guidelines to assess liability, treatment appropriateness and return to work strategies.
- Perform targeted claim reviews to drive improved injured worker and claim outcomes.
- Facilitate case conferences with treating providers to review treatment progress, clarify recovery goals and discuss alignment with clinical frameworks.
- Identify claims management gaps, delays, or missed opportunities and provide actionable insights.
- Deliver high level of customer service within relevant service charters.
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure alignment on review findings and recommendations.
- Utilise a variety of claims management systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data entry.
- Proven expertise in personal injury claims management.
- In-depth knowledge of workers compensation and/or motor accident legislation and regulatory expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to critically assess claims and identify opportunities for improved outcomes.
- Familiarity with conducting targeted claim reviews.
- Strong attention to detail and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate claims notes and summaries.
- Proven ability to work independently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional customer service abilities, with a focus on improving customer experiences.
A relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline, such as allied health, mental health or occupational rehabilitation is desirable but not required.
