**Job Opportunity: Disability Support Worker**

We are seeking a talented and compassionate individual to fill the role of Disability Support Worker. This position involves working with clients who have physical, developmental, or cognitive disabilities.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Neighbourhood Team Leader, assisting and supporting clients in line with their NDIS plan. This includes working in mobile teams, using own gardening equipment, and building long-lasting relationships with clients and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with daily living tasks, such as household duties and yard/home maintenance
  • Transporting clients to appointments and shopping for necessities
  • Building client self-image and self-confidence
  • Promoting independence and well-being
  • Providing personal care and manual handling assistance
  • Maintaining accurate incident reports and progress notes

Requirements:

  • Experience in disability support (preferably 2 years)
  • Strong listening and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain clear professional boundaries
  • Compassionate and empathetic demeanour
  • Valid Working with Children Check and Driver Licence (preferred)
