Lead the People function across multiple national sites for a global consumer brand with a diverse workforce.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead the People function in a complex commercial environment, leading a team of professionals.

You will report to the Operations Director and work closely with site and regional leaders to uplift the HR function and drive business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HR Management or Senior HR Management leadership roles within manufacturing, FMCG, or large-scale industrial operations.

The role requires proven expertise in industrial relations, EBAs, and union engagement, as well as demonstrated ability to manage and grow teams in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uplift the HR function by leading a team of professionals.
  • Build line manager capability in labour planning, shift rosters, workforce productivity, performance, and retention.
  • Lead industrial relations, including EBA negotiations, award interpretation, union engagement, and governance and compliance.
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and workforce planning for a diverse, multicultural workforce.
  • Act as a trusted partner to operational leaders in a dynamic, blue-collar site-based environment.
About You

The successful candidate will be an accomplished HR leader with:

  • A track record of success in HR Management or Senior HR Management leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in industrial relations, EBAs, and union engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow teams in high-pressure environments.
  • A pragmatic, commercially focused leadership style, with the maturity to bring stability and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience working with highly diverse, multicultural workforces.
