Domestic Family Violence Case Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Case Manager to provide intensive support to families affected by domestic and family violence.

Service Overview:

The service aims to reduce child abuse and neglect, providing a strengths-based approach to empower families to achieve safety and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide case management services to joint caseloads of DFV perpetrators and victims, with a focus on vulnerable families with children under 18.
  • Develop and deliver parenting programs to enhance parents' competence and confidence.
  • Facilitate access to quality children's services and assist families in accessing universal and specialist services within the local service system.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with children, families, other agency staff, and communities.
  • Complete internal and external reports relating to clients and the program.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in human services.
  • Experience in domestic violence, family services, and child protection.
  • Case management and delivery of living skills and parenting programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues facing vulnerable families and their children.
  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Current driver's license and senior first aid certificate.
