Family Violence Support Specialist

Momentum Collective is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Violence Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support network, you will play a vital role in creating positive change and inclusive opportunities for women and children affected by domestic and family violence.

This is a full-time fixed-term position until June 2025. You will have a deep understanding of the impact of domestic violence on women and children, as well as a commitment to person-centered, child-focused, and trauma-informed practice.

As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for providing intensive case work and support services to individuals and families experiencing family violence. This will involve collaborating with culturally diverse clients, complex cases, and various stakeholders in the community.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in family violence support, including case planning and coordination of people with complex support needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with human service agencies, stakeholders, and other professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • A tertiary qualification in a social science or related field, and/or specialized skills sufficient to perform at this level.

Required Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in a social science or related field and/or specialized skills sufficient to perform at this level.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Satisfactory Criminal record check.
  • Current Working with Children Check (NSW).
