Purpose of the Role

Enable operational leadership in the delivery of A&G's risk management strategy, ensuring compliance and protection of the Company. Use data to analyse the level of risk exposure and evaluate the control environment. Provide insight, analysis, and automated reporting solutions to optimise the first-line Risk Management function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build a strong risk and data-driven culture in Product and C&A.
  • Analyse data to better understand potential and emerging risks to support a targeted controls assurance program.
  • Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment.
  • Constantly keep a check on compliance requirements.
  • Prioritise a funnel of work for central, compliance, and regulatory reporting with scheduled deliverables.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' business leadership experience within the financial services industry, preferably insurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, engage, and develop others.
  • Specific experience and associated understanding and knowledge of current and emerging regulatory, commercial, technology, and operational trends in Australia.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing ability.
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear action.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills.
