Relationship and Engagement

Maintain close engagement with project management counterparts and engineering team leads to facilitate planning, estimating, and statusing of tasks.

Maintain alignment with the Project Management Office regarding the selection and application of tools and techniques for planning.

People and Skills

">

Set expectations for and develop/evaluate the performance of the project engineering team.

">

Ensure that the team operates efficiently and effectively through clear guidance and follow-up.

">

Promote behaviors aligned to matrix management methods and eliminate team silos.

">

Requirements

">

A minimum of 10 years' experience practicing in a senior engineering position is required.

">

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the product life cycle is essential.

">

Experience and track record in managing engineers in multi-disciplinary teams is necessary.

">

Knowledge of Australian Defence technical regulation frameworks and standards is preferred.

">

Proven experience in project/program execution within the ASDEFCON framework is required.
