We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background in Release Management to lead critical projects from initial business case through to final release. This role demands end to end ownership, including creating and presenting business cases, running P0 phases, and executing release plans. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, able to communicate complex technical details in business terms, and bring strong domain expertise to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects from concept through to final release, taking full ownership of delivery.
- Develop and prepare comprehensive business cases, outlining project scope, objectives, costs, and benefits to align with organizational goals.
- Present business cases to stakeholders, ensuring clarity, understanding, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Oversee release management activities, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases across multiple environments.
- Run and manage P0 phases, ensuring critical milestones are met with minimal risk.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical requirements into accessible language.
- Ensure effective project documentation, reporting, and risk management, with clear communication of progress and changes.
- Drive continuous improvement in the release management process, including automation and efficiency initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management and release management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong experience in developing and presenting business cases to stakeholders.
- Technical proficiency, with the ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, technical designs, and code.
- Excellent communication skills, bridging gaps between technical and business stakeholders.
- Domain expertise relevant to the industry or product area.
- Familiarity with project management and release planning tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to manage risks and navigate complex project challenges effectively.
